4 Devotees Killed, 6 Injured While Returning From Maha Kumbh As Bolero & Trailer Collide In UP
Four devotees died and six were injured in a head-on collision between a Bolero and a trailer in Uttar Pradesh. The victims were returning from the Prayagraj Kumbh Mela.

In a tragic accident, four devotees were killed and six others were seriously injured when a Bolero and a trailer collided head-on near Darankhad in Babhani, Sonbhadra, Uttar Pradesh.
As per the details, the devotees were returning to Raipur in Chhattisgarh after taking holy bath in Maha Kumbh's Sangam Triveni, Prayagraj.
The collision was so severe that the Bolero vehicle was shattered into pieces and the four people died on the spot. Due to the prompt action of local villagers and police, all the injured were immediately admitted to the Community Health Center in Babhani, where their treatment is going on. Police is investigating the matter and the reasons for the collision between the two vehicles are being ascertained.
Earlier, on February 7, two pilgrims returning from the Maha Kumbh Mela were killed and about a dozen others were injured when the mini-bus they were travelling in rammed into a stationary bus on the roadside on police said, news agency PTI reported.
As per the information, the incident took place on the Yamuna Expressway under Tappal police station area, they added. Police said that the deceased were identified as Pavan (53) and Mahendra (73).
Circle Officer (Khair) Varun Kumar Singh told reporters that the injured individuals were admitted to a nearby hospital adding that the pilgrims, who were from Haryana, were returning from Prayagraj after participating in the Maha Kumbh. The bodies of the deceased have been sent for post-mortem examination, he added.
Also, on February 6, eight people died and several were injured after a roadways bus lost its control following its tyre burst and collided with a car near Mokhampura on NH-48 in Dudu, Jaipur, Rajasthan.
According to a report by NDTV, the roadways bus was travelling from Jaipur to Ajmer, while an Eco car was moving alongside it. Suddenly, the bus's tyre burst, causing it to lose control and crash into the Eco car. All eight occupants of the car died on the spot.
Reports indicate that the deceased were residents of Bhilwara. The deceased were reportedly on their way to the Maha Kumbh.
