MP Pappu Yadav's Supporters Hold Protests Over Cancellation of BPSC Exam - Watch

BPSC exam protest intensifies with supporters of MP Pappu Yadav demanding cancellation and re-examination. The MP has called for a 'Bihar Bandh' on January 12 in support of the BPSC candidates

The protest regarding the cancellation of the 70th Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) Preliminary Examination, which held on December 13, 2024, has again gained traction in Bihar as the supporters of Lok Sabha Member of Parliament (MP) Pappu Yadav held a protest in Patna's Ashok Rajpath demanding cancellation and re-examination of the exam, as reported by news agency ANI.

Talking to ANI, Pappu Yadav said, "...'Sarkar ka Ram-Ram satya karna hai. Jo log chhatra-virodhi hai unka Ram-Ram satya hai'...The people of Bihar are on the streets, students are on the streets. Everyone is supporting this (Bihar Bandh)...".

On January 11, Pappu Yadav took to X (formerly Twitter) and said that Bihar will remain closed tomorrow (January 12) and Bihar is with the BPSC candidates. Pappu Yadav is an independent MP from Purnea.

In a post on the social media, Pappu Yadav posted, "The whole of Bihar will remain closed tomorrow. Bihar is with the BPSC candidates.You all are against the exploitation of the youth. Come forward and join us in shutting down Bihar!"

In the visuals, the protesters were seen carrying banners of MP Pappu Yadav, and blocking roads as a mark of protest. They were also raising slogans reagarding cancellation and re-examination of the BPSC exam.

While speaking to PTI, one of the protesting students said, "We have called a Bihar Bandh today and till the BPSC aspirants don't get justice, we will not stop. These are children of India and are not Khalistanis or Pakistanis."

Earlier, on January 3 also, a large number of supporters of Pappu Yadav reached railway stations in Bihar's capital Patna and tried to stop trains by sitting on the tracks. 

The BPSC aspirants have been protesting against the December 13 exam, demanding its cancellation over allegations of irregualrities during the exam.
