Santhaldih Village Evacuation Ordered As Precautionary Measure
NDTV reported that people from Santhaldih village, which is near the oil depot, have been asked to evacuate as a precautionary measure. A goods and passenger train stationed at Jasidih railway station—located close to the fire site—has also been moved away.
The Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has a petroleum storage and distribution centre in the Jasidih Industrial Area. Petrol, diesel, and other petroleum products stored at the depot are crucial for distribution across Jharkhand and surrounding regions.
