IIT Baba Draws Attention Again As He Changes His Looks: Watch

Abhay Singh or 'IIT Baba' has changed his appearance and turned into a 'modern sanyasi'.

As the Maha Kumbh continues, IIT Baba who had gone missing for a few days has come into the limelight. The long-haired and bearded seer has now shaved off his beard and changed his clothes, making him look like a modern monk.

Abhay Singh, more popularly known as ‘IIT Baba’, when asked if it was an act of penance to shave his beard, Singh responded that he did it every 2-3 months whenever he felt like it was time for a shave and nothing unusual.

His changed look also matched his new wardrobe, he was seen wearing a shirt and sweater and was draped with a new ‘shawl’. He ditched his simple dhoti which he wore while visiting pilgrimage sites, he was seen in contemporary clothing making him look like a 'modern sanyasi'. When asked what the name of his shawl was, he said, “Lajvanti”.

He further spoke about his life ascetic, he said that he didn’t acquire all of the knowledge in a day, it took him years to prepare, “to be a practical baba”. “But I didn’t have a channel to dispense all of the knowledge I’d gained, which I suddenly found”.

He spoke about the “Vigyan Bhairav Tantra”, a Shiva Tantra, of the Kaula Trika tradition of Kashmir Shaivism. “It’s a dialogue between Shiv and Parvati, it has given all the steps to enlightenment, there is nothing specific, all methods are mentioned in the book. He said, “Nobody has the information about the workings of the mind. How does the mind work? How to keep it healthy? Just like the body the mind needs to be kept healthy, with the kind of information we taken in and shouldn’t take in.”
