5 Dead In Bus-Truck Collision In Gujarat's Kutch

A bus-truck collision in Gujarat's Kutch resulted in five fatalities and numerous injuries. Police registered a case to determine the cause of the accident.

Five people were reported to be dead while many were injured when a bus and a truck collided in Gujarat's Kutch on Friday. The accident took place on the Mundra-Bhuj highway.

District Collector Amit Arora said, "Five people have lost their lives in this accident on the Mundra-Bhuj highway while many are injured. The condition of two of the injured is also said to be very critical. All have been taken to JK General Hospital for treatment."

An official told news agency ANI that the administration, police and hospital are providing all necessary treatment and assistance. A team of doctors has been instructed to give the best treatment to the patients. Primary examination, CT scan and X-ray of the remaining passengers have been done, so that any kind of internal injury can be detected.

It is being told that the collision between the private bus and the truck was so strong that the bus was blown to pieces. There were more than 45 passengers on the bus. As soon as the information about the accident was received, the local people reached the spot and started rescuing the people. 

The police has registered a case and formed a team to find out the cause of the accident. The bus was coming from Mundra, while the truck was coming from Bhuj. The local people informed the police and 108 ambulance about the accident, after which relief and rescue work started.

On February 10, a couple died and their two children were injured after their car collided with a truck on the Ahmedabad-Vadodara Expressway.

Also on February 8, three people were killed when a truck rammed into a container truck on the Purvanchal Expressway, police said. As per the details, the incident took place in the Gosaiganj police station area.

In July 2024, a bus collided with a truck on the Ahmedabad-Vadodara Highway in Anand. In this accident, at least six people were killed while eight others were injured.
