Greater Noida To Get New World-Class Railway Terminal, Can Handle 100 Trains. Check Details
The ground floor of the station is expected to be dedicated to train operations and related services, while the upper levels will feature commercial establishments, making it a multi-use structure.

Greater Noida is set to get a new railway station at Bodaki with a design similar to NCR's gateway, with its official name Greater Noida Terminal. The officials claimed that it could be one of the most modern hubs of North India with a capacity to handle 100 trains, including Vande Bharat and other premium express.
The terminal will extend to 46 hectares within a 176-hectare multimodal transportation hub, including 12 platforms and 63-yard lines for extensive repair activities, as per the NDTV report.
The ground floor of the station is expected to be dedicated to train operations and related services, while the upper levels will feature commercial establishments, making it a multi-use structure.
According to reports, the upcoming station will enhance connectivity between eastern India and the Delhi-NCR region. Located less than an hour from the upcoming Noida International Airport, the Greater Noida Terminal is set to become a key transit point for commuters from Noida, Greater Noida, and surrounding NCR cities.
The railway station will form part of an integrated transport hub, which will also comprise a city bus terminal, an interstate bus stand, and a metro line linking Depot Station to Bodaki. Officials confirmed that the budget, which was initially allocated the amount of Rs 1,850 crore, is likely to double with these enhanced capabilities.
Mater Plan By DMIC-IITGNL
The master plan is being prepared by DMIC-IITGNL, a special purpose vehicle (SPV) formed through an equal partnership between NICDIT (Central government) and the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA).
Officials said the SPV will submit the plan for approval by the state government. It will also handle project financing and the development of supporting infrastructure such as bus stops and essential utilities, while Indian Railways will oversee the construction of the terminal and related facilities.
Once operational, the Greater Noida Terminal is expected to absorb eastbound passenger traffic from Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, and other parts of the NCR, easing the load on existing transit hubs in Delhi, particularly Anand Vihar.
Officials further confirmed that the project is likely to be completed in three years once the master plan gets approved.
Meanwhile, the latest update confirmed that the trains will arrive and depart at the ground level of the station, and above it, a mall will be developed over the leftover space, which will include shops, showrooms, and offices, making it a mixed-use area, according to a report by Navbharat Times.
The Greater Noida terminal will also be part of a transport hub that will include an inter-state bus terminal, a local bus terminal, and a metro line. This metro line will connect the depot station to Bodaki, improving connectivity for people from Greater Noida, Noida, and other NCR cities.
