Delhi Tourist On Himachal Trip With Friends Raped By Hotel Owner
The Delhi tourist was allegedly raped on Sunday when her friends had stepped out for sightseeing. The woman said the accused entered her room and sexually assaulted her.

A female tourist from Delhi has accused the owner of a hotel near Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh's Kangra district of raping her. The woman was staying at the hotel with three friends and her employer, who is reportedly acquainted with the hotel owner. The alleged incident took place on Sunday when her friends had stepped out for sightseeing.
In her statement, the woman said the accused, identified as Shubham, entered her room and sexually assaulted her, threatening her with serious consequences if she disclosed the incident.
The accused has been taken into custody following the complaint.
Following her complaint, the woman was sent for medical examination. A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and further investigation is ongoing, officials confirmed.
18-Year-Old Gang-Raped In Odisha
An 18-year-old woman was allegedly abducted and gang-raped by two men in Jagatsinghpur district on Monday night, police said. The incident occurred around 8:30 pm when the woman was returning home with a female friend after attending a birthday party in a nearby village.
According to the FIR lodged by her father, the accused intercepted the girls, forcibly took the woman to a nearby farmland, and raped her. Her friend managed to escape and raise an alarm.
The survivor, reportedly bleeding and in a critical state, made her way home, after which her family rushed her to the district headquarters hospital.
Police have launched a probe and recovered a mobile phone from the crime scene. Jagatsinghpur Sadar police station’s officer-in-charge Pravas Sahoo is leading the investigation. The survivor's friend and her mother are being questioned for further leads.
BJP MLA Amarendra Das confirmed that a manhunt is underway. “I have spoken to the SP. Strongest possible action will be taken,” he said.
Amid growing outrage, BJD leader Priyabrat Mohapatra announced plans to gherao the SP office, demanding swift arrests and justice.
