After Dwarka DPS In Delhi, Noida School Gets Bomb Threat On Same Day

Amidst ongoing bomb threats in the Delhi-NCR, DPS Dwarka and Lotus Valley School in Noida received threats on Friday. Police responded and evacuated Lotus Valley School, sending students home.

The series of threats to blow up schools in the Delhi-NCR continued unabated on Friday. After DPS Dwarka in Delhi received a bomb threat on Friday morning, Lotus Valley International School of Noida's Sector 126 got a similar threat via email. 

As soon as the information was received, chaos ensued in the school. The school administration immediately informed the Noida Police. After the police got the alert, several teams reached the school. The school was evacuated and all the children were sent back home.

This was the sixth threat to a school in the Delhi-National Capital Region in two weeks. The previous five threats were to schools in Delhi.

According to The Tribune, three other schools in Delhi — Vishal Bharti in Paschim Vihar, Krisna Model Public School in Jafarpur, and Ekta Model School in Najafgarh — also received bomb threats on Friday.

Following the bomb threat to DPS, Dwarka, on Friday, former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal blamed the Union Home Ministry and the Delhi police for the rising number of such threats that throw schools into a tizzy. He said such criminals' morale was high because no one has been caught yet for issuing such threats.

Earlier, too, Kejriwal had blamed Union Home Minister Amit Shah, under whom the Delhi Police functions for the rising crime rate in Delhi.
