Delhi Metro Changes Sunday Timings For 7 Routes To Help Competitive Exam Candidates

From Aug 25, Delhi Metro Phase-3 corridors will begin services earlier on Sundays. This adjustment aims to accommodate commuters attending exams or early morning activities, particularly students.

Delhi Metro New Sunday Timings: The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced revised service hours for its Phase-3 corridors on Sundays, effective from August 25, 2024. The adjustment, aimed at enhancing passenger convenience, will particularly benefit students and other individuals appearing for competitive exams typically scheduled on Sundays.

According to the DMRC, Metro services on Sundays, which previously commenced at 8 am on certain Phase-3 routes, will now begin earlier.

DMRC officials highlighted that the revised timings aim to accommodate the needs of commuters travelling early in the day, especially those attending exams or other early morning activities. 

"The regular Metro services on Sundays which used to commence from 8:00 AM onwards on the following Phase-III corridors now stands revised w.e.f this Sunday i.e, 25th August 2024," DMRC said in a tweet. 

It added: "The revision of service commencement timings on these corridors on Sundays will benefit not only the commuters of these corridors but also number of students/applicants appearing for various competitive exams which generally take place on Sundays. The extended timings will facilitate them to reach their destination centres across Delhi-NCR in a seamless and convenient manner."

It was further clarified that services on all other metro corridors across the Delhi-NCR network will continue to operate from 6:00 AM as usual.
