Chennai Traffic Police Issues Diversions Advisory Ahead Of Ed Sheeran Concert
Ed Sheeran Concert In Chennai: Ahead of the Ed Sheeran concert at YMCA, Chennai, the traffic police issued an advisory for diversions put in place to ease bottlenecks around the venue.

Chennai Traffic Update: Ahead of the Ed Sheeran concert at the YMCA, Nandanam, in Chennai, the traffic department has enforced diversions to ease pressure and bottlenecks. The concert will begin at 6 PM on Wednesday.
Ed Sheeran is touring India with his 'The Mathematics (+-=÷x) Tour'.
Fans who are attending the concert can access the venue by autorickshaws and taxis only via Gandhi Mandapam Road, Cenotaph Road, Chamiers Road, and Lotus Colony 2nd Street (Nandanam Extension). Commuters travelling by roads near the YMCA stadium are advised to avoid the restricted roads to avoid inconvenience and delays.
The Chennai Traffic Police said that vehicles arriving from the Saidapet end can proceed via Nandanam Junction right and take a U-turn on Chamiers Road and reach their destination via Lotus Colony.
"Only VVIP pass holders and artists’ vehicles will be allowed at the YMCA main entrance and Cosmopolitan gate entrance on Anna Salai. The audience is requested to use public transportation like Metro Rail, MTC buses, and MRTS trains and walk to the venue using the venue," said the Chennai Traffic Police advisory.

Ed Sheeran Meets AR Rahman
Earlier, the British singer met music legend A R Rahman and his son, singer A R Ameen, ahead of the concert in Chennai.
Ameen shared several photos with Sheeran and Rahman on his Instagram on Tuesday, tagging Sheeran in the caption and adding multiple heart emoticons. One of the images showed Sheeran posing alongside Rahman and Ameen, while another captures the British singer taking a photo of Rahman as he worked on music in the studio.

Sheeran also posted a video on Instagram of himself performing his hit ballad 'Perfect' with students from Rahman's KM College of Music & Technology. He captioned the clip, "Singing perfect with the amazing choir at @kmmcchennai here in Chennai today, wowsers (flip sideways for the full experience gang) [sic]."

Earlier, a fan club shared a humorous video of Sheeran receiving a head massage in Chennai. In the clip, the singer jokingly says, "This is abuse." Sheeran also posted the video to his Instagram Stories with the playful comment: "This kinda slaps."
At his Chennai performance, Sheeran will be joined on stage by singer Jonita Gandhi. The tour will conclude in Delhi-NCR on February 15.
