Bihar: Demanding Sacking Of BPSC Chairman, Aspirants Block Railway Tracks In Patna

BPSC exam protests escalate, with aspirants blocking railway tracks in Patna to demand cancellation of the exam and dismissal of the BPSC Chairman.

The protest demanding the cancellation of the 70th Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) Preliminary Examination has intensified, ahead of the scheduled re-exam for candidates at Bapu Exam Center at Patna, as the students have demanded sacking of the BPSC Chairman.

In a mark of protest to make the goverment meet their demands, the aspirants have also blocked railway tracks in the capital. On the morning of January 3, a large number of supporters of Member of Parliament (MP) from Purnea Pappu Yadav reached railway stations in Bihar's capital and tried to stop trains by sitting on the tracks.

With the Indian tricolor in their hands, the protesters were seen stopping the trains at Sachiwalay Halt railway station in Patna. However, the first train which was stopped by the agitating students were made to board after facing a halt of half-an-hour. The Government Railway Police (GRP) is making efforts to clear the tracks, so that the trains may not bear the brunt of the protesting students.

Commenting on this issue, Pappu Yadav said, "Bihar and the whole country are very concerned about the students. This fight is not just about BPSC. It is about the future of the children of 13 crore people. Politicians, coaching mafia and officials together have completely ruined their lives. From 1988-89 till today, paper leaks have been going on no decision has been taken on this. We are very clear that we have to fight. We will also meet the new Governor.."
