Shocking Incident In Bihar: Man Allegedly Beaten, Forced To Marry Aunt After Affair Claims

A disturbing incident has emerged from Bihar’s Supaul district, drawing widespread attention.
A 24-year-old man was allegedly beaten and forced to marry his aunt, whom he was accused of having an illicit relationship with. The disturbing incident has sparked outrage after a video of the assault went viral on various social media platforms.

Family Alleges Forced Marriage Over Illicit Affair
The incident occurred on July 2 in Supaul district of Bihar, under the Bhimpur police station limits. According to a complaint filed by the victim's father, Mithlesh Kumar Mukhiya was abducted and then taked to a relative's house. There, he was beaten with iron rods by a group of men, including his uncle and other locals.
The complaint further states that the assault was carried out after accusations surfaced about Mithlesh's alleged affair with his aunt, Rita Devi, the wife of Shivchandra Mukhiya, Mithlesh's uncle. Shivchandra and Rita have a four-year-old child.
In the viral video, Mithlesh can be seen assaulted, before being allegedly forced to apply sindoor on Rita's forehead, in what appeared to be a forced wedding wedding ritual.
Mithlesh's parents, who tried to intervene, were also reportedly attacked. His father Ramchandra stated that his son suffered severe injuries to his back, neck, and hands.
Police Launches Probe As Accused Flee
The situation escalated as a local villager informed the police. Officers from Bhimpur police station reached the location which made the attackers flee. Mithlesh was rushed to Narpatganj Hospital and later referred to Araria Sadar Hospital due to the critical nature of his injuries.
Bhimpur Station House Officer (SHO) Mithlesh Pandey confirmed that a formal case has been registered. Authorities are working to trace and arrest the accused individuals named in the complaint, Raja Kumar, Vikas Mukhiya, Shivchandra Mukhiya, Suraj Mukhiya, Pradeep Thakur, Suresh Mukhiya, Rahul Kumar, and Sajan Sahni.
