Assam CM Himanta, BJP's Suvendu Adhikari Take Dip At Prayagraj's Maha Kumbh — WATCH

Himanta Biswa Sarma expressed his gratitude after taking a holy dip and thanked Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for the arrangements. 

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam at Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj. The Assam CM, who was accompanied by his family, said Kumbh is a convergence of faith, spirituality and heritage of crores of Santanis.  

Sarma expressed his gratitude after taking a holy dip and thanked Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for the arrangements. 

"I am very fortunate to take a holy dip here at the Mahakumbh. The arrangements were very good. I want to thank UP CM Yogi Adityanath and the entire administration for this," the Assam CM said. 

Later, Sarma shared a post on X, saying, "Words fail to describe the experience of my dip today at Triveni Sangam, which is not just a confluence of rivers- It is a convergence of faith, spirituality and heritage of crores of Santanis. MahaKumbh is the divine bridge connecting Manushya with Mahadev."

Meanwhile, Suvendu Adhikari, the Leader of Opposition in Bengal, also took a holy dip in Sangam during the Maha Kumbh.

Adhikari said that he had the fortune of taking a holy dip at the Sangam and added that immersing himself in the divine water of River Ganga brought 'immense spiritual fulfillment.'

"Kumbh is not just a grand festival; it is the eternal stream of Sanatan culture, where faith, devotion, and spirituality come together in a sacred confluence. It upholds the ideals of unity, peace, and harmony, showcasing India's rich cultural heritage and spiritual traditions to the world. Feeling deeply honored to have received the blessings of Mother Ganga at the Maha Kumbh Mela," the BJP leader said in a post on X. 

The Maha Kumbh started on January 13 and will come to an end on February 26, on Maha Shivratri. Over 50 crore people have taken a holy dip in Triveni Sangam so far, according to the Uttar Pradesh government.
