Angry Mob Torches Vehicles After Truck-Bike Collision Kills 2 In MP's Singrauli: Video

The two bike-borne men were killed after being hit by an over speeding truck in MP's Singrauli, following which an angry mob torched several vehicles during protest.

A coal-loaded truck collided with a bike in Madhya Pradesh's Singrauli, leading to the death of two men who were travelling on the two-wheeler. This enraged the people in the area as they set many vechicles on fire after the duo's death in the road accident on Friday.

The incident took place when the truck driver was overspeeding on a single-lane road, with vehicles coming from the other end as well. The bike-borne men wanted to overtake the cars riding ahead of them, unaware that the truck was coming from the front. The collision resulted in the dumper truck to overturn on the motorcycle near Amilia Ghati.

This caused the two men to fall into a 20-feet-deep gorge after being hit by the truck. Enraged over the accident, an angry mob torched vehicles, leading to chaos in the area.

A 'chakka-jam' was staged at three places as protesting locals set afire five buses and three trucks. They also tried to enter a factory area, news ageny PTI reported.

The incident was captured on camera installed inside the truck, showing the truck driver driving the vehicle in a high speed and overturning after losing control.

After receiving information about the accident, police arrived at the spot to pacify the angry mob and bring the situation under control. One cop was reportedly injured in the ruckus that took place after the incident.

"The incident took place when the dumper truck associated with Adani mines overturned on a motorcycle while crossing Amilia Ghati, killing two youths riding it," Singrauli Superintendent of Police Manish Khatri told PTI.

The deceased have been identified as Ramlallu Yadav and Ram Sagar Prajapati.

Police have been deployed in the area in large numbers to bring the situation under control and prevent further escalation. Police have also assured appropriate action against those responsible for creating chaos and setting vehicles ablaze after completing legal obligations regarding the accident. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem.
