Amit Shah Chairs Review Meeting On Delhi Law & Order

The meeting will be attended by the newly-appointed Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah chaired a crucial meeting on Friday to review the law and order situation in Delhi. The meeting took place at 11:00 AM at the North Block office of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The meeting was attended by the newly-appointed Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, officials from the Delhi Police as well the Ministry of Home Affairs. Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora will also attend the meeting.

Delhi Home Minister Ashish Sood, Home Secretary Govind Mohan, Chief Secretary Dharmendra also participated in the meeting. 

The meeting was aimed at discussing the recent developments and security challenges faced while ensuring law and order and public safety in the national capital. 

Delhi CM Gupta arrived at the Ministry of Home Affairs to attend the meeting.

Shah, in November 2024, had visited the Delhi Police headquarters ahead of the Assembly polls in the national capital. He emphasised the government's commitment to "zero tolerance" policy towars crime and directed the force to devise special action plans targeting the key areas related to public safety.

He also underscored the importance of ensuring that the Delhi residents feel safe as he stressed on the "personal responsibility" of every police officer regarding his role in the city's security.
