'Abu Azmi Is BJP's B-Team': Shiv Sena (UBT) Calls For SP MLA's Permanent Suspension From Maha Assembly

The Shiv Sena (UBT) has demanded the permanent suspension of Samajwadi Party MLA Abu Azmi for praising Aurangzeb.

Shiv Sena (UBT) on Wednesday called for the permanent suspension of Samajwadi Party MLA Abu Azmi over his statement on Mughal ruler Aurangzeb. 

Aaditya Thackeray called him a "B team" of the Bharatiya Janata Party adding that whenever the party comes into trouble in the state, it activates Azmi. 

"If anybody praises Aurangzeb or insults Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, that person has no place in India or Maharashtra... Abu Azmi is the B team of the BJP. Every time the BJP comes into trouble in Maharashtra, they activate Abu Azmi," Aaditya said while speaking to reporters in Mumbai.

"That's what happened in the last session...The BJP came into trouble in Maharashtra, which is why they activated Abu Azmi...," he added. 

Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray called for Azmi's permanent suspension. "He should be permanently suspended. It should not just be for the Budget Session, the suspension should be permanent," he said. 

Abu Azmi BJP's Associate: AIMIM 

All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen leader Waris Pathan also lashed out at Azmi saying BJP has got an associate in him. 

"...The BJP knows that they have got their associate in the form of this MLA (Abu Azmi). They know that he will say anything. And he has done their work (with his statement)...The public of Maharashtra is suffering because of all this," said the AIMIM leader. 

" The voters who gave their votes are suffering as they had hopes that their leader would raise their issues in the Assembly. But their leader got suspended because of his rubbish. What is the use of addressing Humayun, Babar or Aurangzeb now?.. All of this shows that you (SP MLA Abu Azmi) did this to support the BJP," he added.
