One person was killed and one other sustained injuries after a truck crashed into a toll plaza in Karnataka's Vijayanagar district. The incident, which took place on Wednesday evening, was captured on the CCTV camera installed near the toll plaza.
The accident took place at the Timlapura Toll Plaza near Hospet, Vijayanagara Police said. The deceased has been identified as the driver of the truck.

5 Of Family Killed In Road Accident In Karnataka's Yadgir
In another tragic incident, five members of a family, including three children, were killed in Karnataka’s Yadgir district on Thursday in a fatal collision near the Tinthani Arch, which comes within the jurisdiction of Surapura police station.
The deceased have been identified as 35-year-old Anjaneya, his 28-year-old wife Gangamma, their children—five-year-old Pavithra and three-year-old Rayappa—and Anjaneya's one-year-old nephew, Hanumantha.
The family was on their way to Tinthani from Surapura a motorcycle when a Kalyan Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (KKSRTC) bus, which was reportedly out of the driver’s control, crashed into them from behind. The force of the impact was so huge that three people of the family died on the spot. The remaining two victims succumbed to their injuries while being transported to a hospital, news agency IANS reported.
The motorcycle was completely mangled after the accident. The bus is said to be en route to Chincholi from Kalaburagi at the time of the incident. Further investigations into the accident are being conducted by the authorities to determine the exact cause behind the incident or if there was any possible negligence involved.
