One person was killed and six others were injured on October 31 when a man carrying a shipment of firecrackers called the 'onion bombs' exploded in Andhra Pradesh's Eluru district. According to reports, the shipment of Diwali 'onion bombs' had the same explosive power as an IED (improvised explosive device).
The CCTV footage of the tragic explosion has surfaced on social media. It shows two men on a white scooter driving through a narrow street at around 12.17 PM on Thursday. The speeding bike explodes when it approaches a point where the street meets a main road. A small group of five to six men can also be seen standing at the junction, where the blast happened.
The explosion's force resulted the entire area to be covered in dark grey smoke, with bits of paper fluttering around the area.
Two men, who somehow seem to have survived the blast, can be seen running away from the spot to safety. They can be seen approaching the residents of a nearby house for help, holding their ears with both their hands, probably ringing from the explosion.
