Punjab & Sind Bank Launches Smart Branches, TAB Banking, And MSME Lending Tools

Punjab & Sind Bank launched smart branches, MSME digital lending, and TAB Banking on its 118th Foundation Day.

Punjab & Sind Bank celebrated its 118th foundation day with the launch of multiple new initiatives aimed at enhancing customer service, boosting digital infrastructure, and expanding offerings for targeted customer segments. The bank’s leadership unveiled a series of steps to align with its broader strategy.

Speaking at the occasion, Financial Services Secretary M Nagaraju commended the overall health and stability of Indian banks, while emphasizing the ongoing need to further enhance customer experience across the financial ecosystem.

“Today, banks are more stable and healthier. While good customer service is being provided across the board, there is still scope for improvement to ensure we bring a genuine smile to every customer's face,” Nagaraju said.

As part of the celebrations, Punjab & Sind Bank introduced new smart branches, designed to offer superior customer experiences through seamless digital integration and modern infrastructure. The bank also virtually inaugurated its CASA (Current Account Savings Account) Back Office in Chandigarh. The move is expected to streamline internal processes and significantly strengthen customer service delivery across its branch network.

In a focused effort to support the MSME sector, the bank launched cash flow-based digital lending products, aimed at providing more flexible and tailored credit options for small businesses and entrepreneurs.

“These initiatives reflect our focus on customer-centricity, digital transformation, and social responsibility. We are proud to serve millions of customers and remain dedicated to building a stronger, future-ready bank,” said Swarup Kumar Saha, Managing Director and CEO of Punjab & Sind Bank.

To further improve outreach and operational efficiency, the bank also introduced TAB Banking at select branches to ease customer onboarding, a newly revamped call centre with integrated customer relationship management capabilities, and new liability products carefully crafted specifically for students, farmers, and family members.
