In a bid to gain insight into the daily challenges faced by delivery agents, Deepinder Goyal, co-founder and CEO of Zomato, recently took on the role of a delivery partner. Joined by his wife, Gia Goyal (formerly Grecia Munoz), the couple went out on bikes to deliver food orders in Gurgaon. Goyal shared their experience on Instagram, posting a series of photos that captured their time on the job.
“Went out to deliver orders a couple of days ago, teaming up with,” Goyal wrote in the caption, tagging his wife. The images showcased the couple navigating the streets, using a device to find addresses, and interacting with customers during deliveries. Goyal's initiative sparked mixed reactions online, with some praising his hands-on approach while others questioned its motives.

The post quickly went viral, generating a wave of reactions from social media users. One Instagram user commented: “Hope you'll be able to see the pain of the delivery persons and would resolve their problems and make their lives easier.”

Zomato's shares closed at Rs 275.20 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) during Friday's final trading session of the week.
Meanwhile, Deepinder Goyal co-founded Zomato in 2008 and has since seen the company grow into a prominent player in the food delivery industry. His current net worth is estimated at $1.7 billion, according to Forbes. Earlier this year, he tied the knot with Gia Goyal, a former Mexican model, marking a new chapter in his personal life.
