Budget 2021: Rahul Gandhi Reacts To Budget Says 'Modi Govt Hands India's Assets To Crony Capitalist Friends'
Showing his dissatisfaction towards Budget 2021 Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said Modi government is handing the assets to its capitalist friends.
New Delhi: Soon after the Budget 2021 presentation concluded, Rahul Gandhi took to Twitter to express his view of the Budget 2021 that was presented today at the Parliament by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. He talked about how the budget favours the capitalist instead of the people of the country.

Before which Rahul Gandhi pointed his expectation of the Budget. He tweeted "Budget2021 must: Support MSMEs, farmers and workers to generate employment. Increase Healthcare expenditure to save lives. Increase Defence expenditure to safeguard borders."
In the Budget, the Finance Minister announced, "We have made substantial changes in the Direct Tax System. We slashed our Corporate Tax rate to make it lowest in the world." She also added that govt will set-up a faceless dispute resolution mechanism for small taxpayers and proposes to reduce time allowed to re-open tax investigation to 3 years vs 6 years now. Further Sitharaman annouced "In order to incentivise startups in the country, I propose to extend the eligibility for claiming tax holiday for startups by one more year to March 31, 2022."
Apart from Rahul Gandhi, Congress leader Jaiveer Shergill tweeted soon after the Budget presentation "BJP Govt reading laundry list of hollow reforms in agri sector is case of failed student reading his/her forged report card; Budget failed to increase MSP, no increase in meagre allocation under KisanSammanYojna, no loan waiver-Farmer continues to get stabbed by Kisan Virodhi BJP.
