Video Shows Congress Worker Himani Narwal's Killer Dragging Suitcase With Her Body Inside — On Cam

The accused, Sachin, allegedly strangling Narwal with a wired mobile charger after a fight at her home in Rohtak and later dumped her body in a suitcase. 

The Haryana Police on Monday released a CCTV video showing the accused who killed Congress worker Himani Narwal and dumped his body in a suitcase.

The video shows the accused, who is the friend of the victim, dragging the luggage on a deserted road.

The accused, Sachin, allegedly strangling Narwal with a wired mobile charger after a fight at her home in Rohtak and later dumped her body in a suitcase. The authenticity of the footage was confirmed by the police. 

Himani's body was found stuffed in a suitcase in Rohtak on Saturday, leading to the formation of a special investigation team (SIT) to probe the murder. 

Additional DGP Krishan Kumar Rao said the accused, Sachin, hails from Jhajjar district, where he runs a mobile phone shop, and was arrested in Delhi. 

"She used to stay alone in Vijay Nagar, Rohtak. On February 27, he came to her house, and they had a fight over something. He then strangled her using a mobile charger cable. After this, he took her jewellery, phone, laptop, and other valuables to his shop in Jhajjar," Rao said.

The accused was in contact with the woman through social media for the past one-and-half years and also used to visit her home. The woman used to live alone in Vijay Nagar. 

On February 27, the accused visited the Congress leader's home and they had a heated argument over money.

According to police, Sachin, a married man with no political connections, strangled Himani with a wired mobile phone charger, killing her on the spot. 

The accused has said there was a fight between the two, and during an exchange of words, he strangled her, the ADGP said. 

After strangling Himani, Sachin took her jewellery, laptop, ring and rode her scooter to Jhajjar to hide these items, while he returned to her home, stuffed her body in a black suitcase and dumped it.
