Tata Curvv Expected Price In India: Where Above Nexon?

The Curvv will come with many powertrain options including an EV while the car shown at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo came with a diesel engine.

Tata Motors is readying the Curvv in India and the question is, of course, the pricing for this much-anticipated coupe-style SUV. The Curvv will come with many powertrain options including an EV while the car shown at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo came with a diesel engine. Hence, we think the Curvv diesel will be coming along with an EV powertrain first and then followed by a 1.2l turbo petrol.

The new turbo petrol would be a crucial motor with more power and torque over the current one powering the Nexon. The Curvv diesel will get a 1.5l diesel which also powers the Nexon while the Curvv diesel will get a manual gearbox too.

First, we will see the Curvv EV and then followed by the diesel plus the petrol. Pricing is crucial and it will have to slot between the Nexon and Harrier.

Since the Nexon diesel starts from 11 lakh, we expect the Curvv diesel to start from 13 lakh while being placed below the Harrier which in turn starts from Rs 15.4 lakh. The Nexon EV meanwhile starts from Rs 14.7 lakh while the Curvv with a larger battery pack could be within the region of Rs 17-22 lakh for the EV.

The petrol Curvv could be the most affordable iteration for this coupe-like SUV and the expected pricing could be 10-11 lakh which is also the pricing ballpark for the traditional 4m plus SUV rivals for the Curvv.

The Curvv is longer than the Nexon and would be the compact SUV rival from Tata Motors with some details being shown at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo including its features and interiors. The Curvv would be launching shortly within the next few months.
