Jharkhand Student Protest: Students’ Protest Against Exam Irregularities Continues for 19th Day in Ranchi
The student movement against alleged irregularities in examinations continues in Jharkhand, with protesters remaining at Jaipal Singh Stadium in Ranchi. Students say they will continue their agitation until their demands are addressed. On the 19th day of the protest, senior administrative and police officials, including the Ranchi SSP, DSP and DM, visited the site and appealed to students to end their hunger strike while continuing their broader protest. However, the students refused to call off the hunger strike, saying their concerns had not been resolved. Some protesters expressed fears that the administration might attempt to remove the protest tent or disperse the gathering. Students also alleged that police personnel repeatedly asked protesters for personal details without explaining the purpose. They further claimed that police had visited the homes of some participants and allegedly pressured their parents to withdraw them from the movement. The protesters stressed that their fight is against alleged flaws in the examination system, not against the government itself.
