Royal Enfield Himalayan 452 Takes Aim At KTM 390 Adventure

The Enfield Himalayan 452 will compete with the likes of the KTM 390 Adventure plus other motorcycles like the BMW G310 GS and the Yezdi Adventure.

The new Enfield Himalayan has been revealed and it is a more premium take on this rugged motorcycle with a big update in all of the departments. The talking point here is the 452cc liquid cooled motor which develops 40 bhp and 45Nm of torque. The gearbox is a 6-speed unit. If you look at the specifitcations of the current Himalayan, this is a major upgrade in terms of power especially since the current Himalyan develops a lesser 24bhp with a 5-speed gearbox.

The styling has been updated with what looks like a larger fuel tank and more ground clearance over the current Himalayan. You can also see a new beak, grab handles and a LED headlamp. Another big upgrade happens to be the LED headlamp over the usual halogen unit on the current Himalayan.

The new Himalayan 452 will get a 21-inch wheel at the front and a 17-inch wheel at the rear with a spoke design. Overall, the new Himalayan 452 is newer and better with more power, better off-road performance and more features while an increase in its price-tag is also expected.

The Enfield Himalayan 452 will compete with the likes of the KTM 390 Adventure plus other motorcycles like the BMW G310 GS and the Yezdi Adventure. Stay tuned for more information on the new Enfield 452.
