Is Triumph Scrambler 400 XC Worth A Buy Over 400 X?

The 2025 Triumph Scrambler 400 XC adds some visual tweaks over the 400 X but that also comes at a cost. The XC brings in an additional 25,000 to Rs 30,000 in cost over the 400 X. So, for that extra money, what do you get? Well, the 400 XC has cross spoke wheels and that is one of the biggest changes. These wheels are also wrapped around tubeless tyres.

But there are also bigger changes including more body coloured bits including a body coloured fender, visor while there is more engine protection- something offered as an accessory on the 400 X. Visually, it adds to the looks of the bike but it also adds to the off-road ability. The Triumph Scrambler 400 XC also could get further visual differences too including a two-tone colour scheme.

The powertrain of course stays the same with being a 398cc, liquid-cooled motor developing 39.5bhp and 37.5Nm while having a six-speed gearbox. Some of the other parts are also shared with the 400 X including the frame and other components.

These updates hence will bring the price up when compared to the 400 X but given the changes, it looks sportier and much more aggressive which somewhat justifies the price increase. From Triumph, this is its more hardcore off-road machine and more details would be revealed soon. We expect this motorcycle to compete with the likes of KTM and Royal Enfield.
