Bharat Mobility Global Expo- Toyota Land Cruiser Prado India Debut
The new Prado would be an off-roader but in its new generation form it is more comfortable too along with being luxurious.
Toyota will showcase the new Land Cruiser Prado in India at the Auto Expo or the Bharat Mobility Global Expo. This is a new luxury SUV that would be slotted above the Toyota Fortuner when launched in India. The new Prado would be an off-roader but in its new generation form it is more comfortable too along with being luxurious. Expect features like a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a JBL audio system, sunroof and more. It would be more expensive than a Fortuner but less than the LC300 bigger Land Cruiser.
The Land Cruiser Prado has a length of nearly 5m while being a 5-seater SUV. It still has a body-on-frame structure but with more comfort while also having better off-road ability. Compared to the older Prado, there is more space too on the inside. The older Land Cruiser Prado has been sold in India over previous generations too while being a luxury SUV option. In India, the new Prado will most likely come with the same Fortuner diesel engine but with more power along with a mild hybrid option.
A mild hybrid petrol could also come given how petrol is now being favoured. Being a full import, the new Prado would be pricier but around Rs 1 cr is what we can expect. In India, the new Prado will lock horns with the Land Rover Defender in India along with the Jeep Wrangler to some extent being a luxury off-roader. Expect more details coming soon for this new Toyota SUV which would be the star for its 2025 Auto Expo exhibit.
