Sunny Deol files nomination from Gurdaspur

Actor-turned-politician Sunny Deol will file his nomination today from the significant Gurdaspur parliamentary constituency in Punjab, as a BJP candidate for the ongoing Lok Sabha elections. Ahead of filing the papers, Deol visited the Golden Temple in Amritsar.

While filing nomination, Deol will be accompanied by Kavita Khanna, wife of former Gurdaspur MP late Vinod Khanna, and Union Minister Jitendra Singh, the BJP said.
 
Deol on Sunday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Modi appreciated Deol's "humility and deep sense of passion for a better India".
