Sansani: Mumbai's serial rapist accused of assaulting 15 minor girls arrested
Police have arrested a suspect from Mira Road on Wednesday evening, whose description appears to match the CCTV image of the serial rapist who has raped over 15 girls, aged 9-16 years
As per police records, the first case was registered against the accused in October 2016 for allegedly raping a 10-year-old girl in Vashi. Subsequently, similar cases cropped up in Navi Mumbai where the accused had used the same modus operandi (MO) to target his victims. The MO caught the police’s attention and they compiled a dossier of the unidentified paedophile’s crimes. However, after he was captured on a CCTV camera in June, police now have a face to connect with the crimes.
