Major setback to China as Putin claims to develop corona vaccine

Russia's President Vladimir Putin has claimed on Tuesday that his country has developed the first vaccine to offer "stable immunity" against the corona virus.

Russia said earlier this month that it was hoping to start mass production of the vaccine in a few weeks.

The World Health Organization last week requested Russia to follow the necessary guidelines to develop a safe vaccine and to "move through all phases".
