Historic lift-off: In a first, SpaceX carries two NASA astronauts to space
History has been made in the US where for the first time, a private rocket ship has been sent to space with two NASA astronauts for a mission of America's premier space agency. The Falcon-9 rocket designed by Elon Musk's SpaceX will carry the two astronauts to space for their mission.
NASA’s Doug Hurley and Bob Behnken rode skyward aboard a sleek, white-and-black, bullet-shaped Dragon capsule on top of a Falcon 9 rocket, lifting off at 3.22 pm from the same launch pad used to send the Apollo astronauts to the moon a half-century ago.
