Escalation Deepens: Airstrikes, Drone Attacks Intensify Across Middle East

On Day 37 of the conflict, tensions sharply escalated as Israeli forces targeted Iran’s petrochemical infrastructure. A major strike hit the Mahshahr petrochemical zone, causing widespread destruction, with at least five people killed and over 170 injured. Thick smoke and fire engulfed the area, indicating severe damage to facilities reportedly linked to chemical production. In retaliation, Iran expanded its offensive beyond its borders. Drone attacks were launched in Kuwait, targeting the Shuaikh oil complex and the Finance Ministry, causing structural damage though no casualties were reported. Kuwait also confirmed multiple aerial threats, including ballistic missiles and drones, entering its airspace within 24 hours. Meanwhile, Iran-backed militia groups attacked U.S. military bases in Erbil, Iraq, using drones. Iran also intensified strikes on Israel, targeting Ben Gurion Airport with multiple drones, reportedly causing damage. The conflict continues to widen, with both sides engaging in aggressive military actions, signaling no immediate de-escalation and raising fears of a broader regional war.
