NHRC issues notice to Bihar & UP over dead bodies found floating in Ganga river
The National Human Rights Commission has taken suo moto cognizance of the incident when several bodies were found in the Ganges river flowing in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. The NHRC on Thursday sent a notice to the Chief Secretaries of Bihar and UP as well as the Central Water Power Ministry, asking them to submit a report of action within four weeks.
