After Uttarakhand Chief Ministet Trivendra Singh Rawat resigned from his post on Tuesday, the opposition Congress demanded President's rule in the state. However, the 60-year-old BJP leader first met Maurya and then proceeded to the media conference. In 2017, Rawat was made Chief Minister after BJP won in Uttarakhand.
