West Bengal: 9 People Lost Lives While 50 Are Reportedly Injured as 2 Train Collides in West Bengal

Kanchanjungha Express Accident: The 13174 Agartala-Sealdah Kanchanjungha Express collided with a goods train yesterday in West Bengal, causing injuries to multiple people and the heartbreaking loss of nine lives. Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee sharply criticized the PM Modi-led administration after the event, holding the Center accountable for its carelessness. She added that the center needs to prioritize governance over speech. She said that since 9 AM when she first learned of the accident, she has been handling the situation with the help of her chief secretary and other officials. "I started so many things, but they are only doing publicity of Vande Bharat trains," Mamata Banerjee remarked, lashing out at the Centre for the "negligence faced by the entire Railway Department". Duronto Express is The quickest train, after the Rajdhani Express. The Railway Department as a whole is being negligent these days. I believe the Railway Ministry needs to be properly looked after."
