With Delhi election just around the corner, the major political parties – Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Congress – are leaving no stone unturned to woo the voters during Delhi Assembly elections 2020.
Campaigning is in full swing with prominent leaders from different political parties are trying to pursue the voters through roadshows, public meetings and door to door campaigns to vote for them. However, the protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) in various parts of the city have acquired the major attraction of both - the politicians and the masses.
Delhiites who will be voting next week, 60% of them believe the CAA has become a major election issue, while 30% of people think otherwise, according to a survey done by ABP News-CVoter. Remaining 10% of people said that it is a political issue but not in Delhi.
Meanwhile, as the BJP's surround sound over Shaheen Bagh turns shriller, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is treading cautiously not to let his campaign lose its focus on civic issues.
Delhi polls are scheduled on February 8 and the results will be announced on February 11.
