Siwan Bridge Collapsed:: Bridge Over Gandak Canal Collapses In Bihar's Siwan | ABP News

A bridge over the Gandak canal in Siwan collapsed on Saturday (June 22). A pillar of the bridge fell, and within a few minutes, the bridge was submerged in water. No casualties have been reported in the incident so far. People present at the scene made a video of the bridge collapse, which is now going viral. This incident occurred in Ramgarha Panchayat of Daraunda block. Just five days ago, another bridge had collapsed in Araria.

It is reported that this bridge over the Gandak canal, between Patedha and Garauli villages, is very old. The canal itself was constructed last year. Due to the bridge collapse, water from the Gandak canal entered the villages, causing damage to crops in many fields. According to locals, the collapse occurred during work being carried out by a contractor using a Pokalen machine for soil excavation, which they believe led to the bridge collapse.
