Rewa: Police lathi-charged migrant labourers when asked for food
In Rewa, migrants labourers started protesting for food after hundreds were stopped from crossing the UP-MP border. But, instead of being provided with a meal, they were lathi-charged by the Police personnel. These visuals come even after the Union government's guidelines which state that the safety of migrant labourers is the State government's responsibility. Migrants are travelling by road to reach their homes in other states because they feel they are unable to get permissions to travel via the Shramik Special trains.
