In a significant twist in the Raja Raghuvanshi murder case, a hawala money trail has come to light, with the emergence of a new suspect—Jitendra Raghuvanshi. Investigators have discovered financial transactions between Jitendra and Sonam Raghuvanshi, the alleged mastermind behind Raja's murder. According to sources, Jitendra's bank account was reportedly used for hawala operations, and his number, along with Sonam’s, was allegedly used in illegal fund transfers.Importantly, it has been revealed that Raj Kushwaha, Sonam’s alleged partner, received ₹50,000 from Jitendra's account—money believed to have been used to pay for Raja's killing. While Jitendra’s profession and relationship to Sonam are still unclear, he is now under police radar. His role in the hawala network, and its connection to the murder conspiracy, is being thoroughly investigated.Police have also recovered photos of currency notes from Raj Kushwaha’s phone, allegedly related to hawala dealings. While police have not officially confirmed Jitendra's interrogation, they have reportedly begun probing this financial angle seriously.Meanwhile, Sonam and all four accused, including Raj Kushwaha, are now present at the same police station in Shillong for the first time, though they have been kept apart. Sonam is believed to have planned the murder in advance, even before marriage, raising questions about her deeper motives. The Meghalaya Police is preparing to produce all suspects in court and is likely to seek extended remand to uncover the full extent of this multi-state crime.
