Putin Issues Strong Statement Against Western Nations on India Ahead of BRICS Summit
Ahead of the upcoming BRICS summit in Russia next week, President Vladimir Putin held a press conference where he reflected on the Western nations by citing India's example. When asked whether BRICS is an organization formed against Western countries, Putin clarified that BRICS is not anti-Western but rather a non-Western group. He emphasized that the purpose of BRICS has never been to oppose anyone, citing India's stance as a key member that is not anti-Western or anti-European. He mentioned that other members share a similar outlook. During the conference, Putin also praised Prime Minister Modi's role concerning the Russia-Ukraine conflict, noting that Modi consistently raises the issue during their conversations and shares his views, for which they are grateful.
