Privacy Policy: SC seeks answers from Facebook and WhatsApp
Earlier, WhatsApp came up with an update in the 'Privacy Policy' and have informed the users to update the app till 8th February in order to maintain their WhatsApp account active. The Supreme Court has asked Facebook which owns WhatsApp to provide an assurance in writing stating they don't read messages. The court told WhatsApp and Facebook, "You may be a company of 2 or 3 trillion but people's privacy matters", it has also been since revealed that there are different versions of the update for Europe and India.
