Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday highlighted India's achievement in reaching exports worth USD 400 billion, saying that the feat shows the nation's strength and potential. It means there is rising demand for Indian products and the supply chain is also able to meet the same, he said addressing the 87th edition of the 'Mann Ki Baat' radio programme. He credited India's farmers, artisans, weavers, engineers, small entrepreneurs, the MSME sector and people from many different professions as being the nation's strength.
He mentioned that earlier, it was believed only major corporations can sell products to the Government but the Government eMarketplace Portal has changed this notion as sellers are able to sell their products to the government directly, "it shows the spirit of a New India."
