Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Varanasi, his parliamentary constituency, this Sunday to launch a series of airport projects totaling over ₹6,100 crore. He will begin by inaugurating the RJ Sankara Eye Hospital at around 2 PM, which will offer comprehensive eye consultations and treatments. Later, around 4:15 PM, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for several development projects in Varanasi, as reported by ANI. As part of his commitment to improving connectivity, Prime Minister Modi will initiate multiple projects at Varanasi’s Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport, including the runway expansion, construction of a new terminal, and other related works, amounting to around ₹2,870 crore. Additionally, he will lay the foundation stones for a new civil enclave at Agra Airport, costing over ₹570 crore, as well as projects at Darbhanga Airport worth approximately ₹910 crore and Bagdogra Airport worth around ₹1,550 crore. The Prime Minister will also inaugurate new terminal buildings at Rewa Airport, Maa Mahamaya Airport, Ambikapur Airport, and Sarsawa Airport, collectively valued at over ₹220 crore.
