Pithoragarh: MLA saved from being washed away while trying to cross swollen sewer

In Uttarakhand's Pithoragarh an MLA was almost washed away while trying to cross a swollen sewer. He was saved by the locals while he sustained injuries.

In other parts of the city, an army column was deployed to Munsiyari and Dharchula areas to assist the local administration after the region witnessed flash floods and cloudbursts leaving several villages cut off.
