Nirmala Sitharaman Delivers Strong Speech After Devendra Fadnavis Elected BJP Legislative Party Leader
BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis has been chosen as the next Chief Minister of Maharashtra. The decision was finalized during a meeting of the Mahayuti alliance on Wednesday, where Fadnavis was also elected as the leader of the BJP legislative party. The alliance also agreed to appoint Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar as Deputy Chief Ministers of Maharashtra.
Following this decision, Fadnavis, along with supporting legislators, will meet the Governor of Maharashtra to stake a claim to form the government. Mahayuti leaders are scheduled to visit Raj Bhavan at 3:30 PM. The swearing-in ceremony will take place at Azad Maidan on December 5, with several senior BJP leaders in attendance.
