Nature’s Fury: Landslides Hit Himachal, Bihar Raid Uncovers ₹100 Cr Assets, Uttarakhand Flooded

The relentless fury of nature continues across northern India, bringing devastation and fear to thousands. In Himachal Pradesh, heavy rains and landslides have left a trail of destruction. At Rampur in Shimla, a portion of the Vishwakarma temple near the National Highway collapsed, though fortunately no casualties were reported. Authorities fear the remaining structure is also under severe threat. In Sundar Nagar’s Jambang Bagh area, massive landslides damaged several homes, with debris burying large sections. Locals remain in shock as BJP MP Kangana Ranaut expressed grief over the incident. In Bihar’s Kishanganj, the focus shifted from natural disaster to financial shock as the Income Tax Department carried out a massive raid. Officials unearthed benami properties worth ₹100 crore linked to a prominent business group. The five-day operation has left the trading community unsettled, sparking widespread discussions across the region.Meanwhile, in Uttarakhand’s Udham Singh Nagar, incessant rainfall has worsened the flood crisis. The Gola River continues to swell, submerging villages and fields. A bridge built in 2016 collapsed the very same year, and repeated flooding highlights the fragile state of infrastructure. With water releases from nearby reservoirs adding to the problem, villagers face a rising tide of uncertainty and displacement.
