MP: Kamal Nath steps down as CM before floor test
Madhya Pradesh chief minister Kamal Nath has announced that he would submit his resignation to governor Lalji Tandon. The announcement came a day after the Supreme Court ordered the assembly speaker to conduct a floor test by 5pm on Friday. The resignation ends the 15-month tenure of the Congress in Madhya Pradesh and paves the way for the BJP to return to power. The announcement comes after an intense year of factional feud between the Kamal Nath-Digvijaya Singh and Jyotiraditya Scindia factions of the Madhya Pradesh Congress
