Modi Government’s New Plan To Transform India Into Semiconductor Hub | Paisa Live

The Indian government has approved the establishment of another semiconductor unit in the country. This plant will be set up in Sanand, Gujarat. The central government has announced that the first semiconductor chip is expected to be produced by mid-2025. The approval for this semiconductor unit was granted during a Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The plant will be established by Kaynes Semicon. This move is part of India's broader strategy to become a major hub for semiconductor manufacturing, aiming to boost domestic production and reduce reliance on imports.
