Mahakumbh 2025: Massive Devotee Gathering in Prayagraj, Varanasi, and Ayodhya
On the final bathing day of the Mahakumbh Mela in Prayagraj, an overwhelming number of devotees have gathered for the sacred dip. Since morning, over 5.5 million pilgrims have taken the holy bath, contributing to a record-breaking count of over 650 million devotees since the event began on January 13. With the conclusion of the Mahakumbh coinciding with the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri, the number is expected to surpass 660 million by the end of the day.A huge influx of devotees arrived in Prayagraj a day before Mahashivratri, leading to strict security measures and the implementation of an emergency plan by the railway and Kumbh administration to manage the crowd. Meanwhile, Varanasi’s Kashi Vishwanath Dham, Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir, and various other temples across the country are witnessing a massive turnout of devotees, creating an atmosphere of spiritual devotion and celebration. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is personally monitoring the arrangements from the control room in Gorakhpur.
