J&K: Terrorist attack on BJP worker, PSO martyred
A police constable was injured while defending a BJP worker in a terrorist attack in Ganderbal district of central Kashmir. The BJP worker escaped safely in this attack, but one of the private security officers (PSOs) posted under his protection was shot. An unidentified terrorist was killed on the spot in retaliation. PSO Mohammed Altaf, who was injured in two-way firing, later succumbed to the injuries.
